They again filed asking SCOTUS to say whether or not they can limit mail in voting essentially asking for a ruling on if it's constitutional or not.
This is because the whistleblower in the USPS took his or her evidence directly toa federaljudge(presumably Talwani) to provide evidence that the Trump admin was violating the court order.
So that was in part because the Trump lawyers refused in court to answer if the new portal was ready or not, because they didn't want to admit they had violated the court order by working on it. So the whistleblower gave direct evidence to the judge.
And the Trump admin decided to just say screw it and ask SCOTUS to just let them rat fink the election.
