I have to fly to Portland in about 10 days to go to USCIS with my dad to try and make sure they don't deport him to New Zealand. 91 years old, 65 years in the US but we're currently at 12 months on his renewal since submitted and after them telling us in December he did NOT have to do biometrics they already had it from the DMV, they now scheduled an appointment for him to do it. So I am going with him.
as always there's so much going on with Trump he's flooding the zone, people either miss or don't believe what is happening. They are actively deporting people who had green cards because you can't apply for a new one until 6 months before it expires, and it takes a minimum of 18 months to get a new one. That 12 months period you have a letter that it's in progress but they are ignoring those letters and deporting people
