Several members of the GOP are saying we could cut gas by 30 cents a gallon by allowing more E15 gas. Of course they are all in states that produce what we make ethanol from and they are just trying to help that. Again E15 cuts your gas mileage and power and is not good for modern engines not designed for it.
This just like the old days when Bob Dole pushed for an oxygenate in gas so he could sell more corn from Kansas and California and other states ended up with MTBE in the gas that was polluting the air and water.
