Sorry—the video's procedure was actually the opposite:

Buy a stock if it dropped 5% in a week, and sell it if it rose 10% in a week.

Today, roughly 85% of stock-market trading is done by algorithms or automated systems. And yet, somehow, we're still here.

We've developed safeguards and trading protocols on the way, designing protocols to protect us from inadvertent catastrophic sell-offs.
