Trump demands that GOP allow “recess appointments”

Of course Trump is an ignorant clod and doesn’t mean recess appointments at all, since the Republican Senate majority can simply rubber stamp any appointment if they choose.

He is really asking the Senate to abdicate any pretense of the advise and consent provision of Article 1, and discard any pretense of holding hearings or presenting any evidence in a public hearing.
