But Trump has his followers believing that tariffs are paid by people overseas and can be used to replace income taxes in the U.S. He wants tariffs on every country in the world.

If people want to vote for tariffs with knowledge that they will suffer hardship because of it, that's fine. Most midwestern farmers know how tariffs work. They get that they may be hurt by tariffs yet have still supported some of Biden and Trump's targeted tariffs.

But most MAGA voters don't think Americans pay tariffs. I think they should know the truth.
