Russia may be willing to settle for a chunk of Eastern Ukraine. And, for me, any settlement would make it clear that Western Ukraine, or whatever is left of Ukraine, would be a NATO protectorate buffer zone. Any incursion into that would be war.
I said we should do that after Russia took Crimea: Ok, you got it. But, that will never happen again. We are ready, and you are notified. You try to take this land and it's war.
By your logic, why are we not sending US troops there?
