Unclear who made this call or who is in charge at this point but probably not Biden. Skeptics will claim military industrial complex ordered this intentional escalation to prevent future peace agreement. Generous interpretation would be one last push to give Ukraine leverage in upcoming peace talks. Hope it’s the latter.
