Last time their base had a larger subsection of college-educated. Now it doesn't.
Last time cutting Sesame Street was a symbolic hit since it was a free babysitter for many rural/poor parents.
That has now changed. I wouldn't be surprised if they were able to get rid of PBS given the new GOP demographic. I don't think my kids know what PBS is (16 and 18). Is Elmo as popular as something on YouTube like Baby Shark? There are many free options now for kids to see on YouTube.
