One of the saddest days in my lifetime for the US

A bunch of idiots who thought it would be cool to vote for the felon just got that felon let out of charges where he was clearly guilty and you can literally see with pictures and video he was guilty. And they let him go because these morons voted him back into office.

My understanding is that Jack Smiths' request for the charges to be dropped made it clear he was NOT dropping because Trump is innocent, but because as sitting POTUS he can't be charged and Smith doesn't want to waste time and resources.

When they go ahead and pardon and release all the J6 a holes already in jail will be another sad day.

This country has officially gone off the rails.

We were out walking at 530 am today in the Philippines and a Filipino guy also walking asked me where I was from, I said California and he said oh Americano, have you heard the news about Trump. I said yeah he won and he said no, they are dropping all Jan 6 charges. I knew they were going to but to hear they actually did it, stunning. The guy is a retired lawyer, he said in Philippines Trump would have been in jail this whole time, best case, which I assume meant the worst case is the people whose votes he tried to steal would have gone vigilante on him and taken him out like they did Magellan.

We are officially a banana republic, I don't think you can put the toothpaste back in the tube now
