I would put Roy in the Romney-lite category. He did speak up.
He did vote McCarthy out because he wanted the House to work with regular order. He didn't want to be forced to sign things he could not read because of the lack of time given.
He wasn't following the lead of the MAGAs.
When he left, he did as much to harm the MAGAs as he could and he talked about their insanity both while he was elected and after.
While he did vote to impeach the homeland secretary and didn't vote to impeach Trump despite saying he has conducted an impeachable offense, Roy has had his public moments.
He's no Liz Chaney nor even a Romney but he is more decent than the average GOP House member.
