Was there any moment of resistance?

I never heard a story about how they wanted to let her talk but then pressure started coming in.

I'd imagine they looked at the situation and made the call right there to pre-emptively yank her even before any phone started ringing. But then I'm a cynical bstard and that's the way my mind works.

I'd be happy to know that at least some pressure was applied and there was some caving. It would tell me the world is not as bad a place I think it is.
