Not just "people might start yelling" or "some people may feel uncomfortable", but credible threats. If security is the reason they need to give us concrete facts about it.
If the actual reason is "some people may feel uncomfortable" they should then come out and say so. If that's the real reason (which I suspect it is), that's a separate kind of discussion. As long as they are making a security claim, I need to see them back that up ... not threats that have emerged since they decided to yank her speech, but threats that came up between the announcement that she is going to give a valedictorian speech and the announcement that she will not be allowed to.
