I actually read a book years ago that was somewhat like that but way more out there but had the same general idea, the tech bros thought they were just too smart to deal with rules and regulations anymore, they don't want to be constrained, so they were going to use money, and technology to seize power.

The Andreesen stuff is interesting because of course he flipped from being a Dem, to helping Trump win. Donated a ton of money to him and leveraged his contacts with other tech bros to get THEM to donate to Trump even though they were all in California and knew no matter what they voted, Trump would lose in California. They were looking at the big picture the entire election, and they played a large role in Trump winning.

Andreesen says Biden told him they were going to regulate AI, he said when Biden got through there were only going to be 2 AI companies allowed to exist, they were going to go after unrealized Capital Gains, and they were "debanking" tech CEO's secretly. From what I gather the debanking refers to tech people being dropped by banks because too much of their income or net worth was in crypto and the banks didn't trust Crypto. After Silicon Valley Bank collapsed, it had a bunch of crypto companies connected to it, other banks started using rules that say we can close your account at any time without notice if we see fit.

The tech bros said they were being picked on for disagreeing with Biden, but what it really was is the banks just didn't believe enough in crypto and said if the crypto they're invovled with collapses, they're going to bring down banks with them.
