I'm not advocating for him. I was talking to someone (a Dem) who is going to work downstream from him so he was doing his own homework on his bio outside of partisan rhetoric.

He did believe he'd gone extreme in his rhetoric. He respected his tour. The question he had was how much was it an act for like/views and how much is he a true believer. Regardless he's stuck with him.

I'm not trying to sway anyone but give one informed military Democrat's thought process who looked beyond the news for hints into the future.

Take it for what it's worth. I'm not arguing with anyone.
