the other part of it is this notion that some of it was people intentionally keeping prices high to hurt Biden. Like the oil exec in Texas that the DOJ was going to prosecute for colluding with OPEC and Russia to keep gas prices high. He's almost certainly going to magically get let off when Trump takes office. You watch how quickly Scott Sheffield gets dropped from federal investigation when Trump takes office.

But the general belief is some of these other companies with sky high prices had CEO's who were Trump donors, and maybe Trump can get them to now lower prices.

The problem with that of course is if Trump does that, then he just admitted to America that the prices were artificially high the last several years because of him. But his voters are too dumb to grasp that if it happened. Just like they had no problem with the belief that he could end the Russia and Ukraine conflict or Israel, but it wasn't wrong of him NOT to do it now when he wasn't POTUS, it was perfectly OK for him to wait until elected to do it
