Why would 43 states be ok with their voices being conpletely

trashed in favor of only 7 states determining the outcome of the election? I think this is mostly a matter how the issue is framed.

There are also ways to handle this without an amendment: we can introduce a state by state proportional representation for delegate allocation and turn the electoral college into something that's merely a bureauceatic vestige.
