Three of UCLA's best pitchers were drafted and signed MLB contracts:
Jared Karros, who was slated to be the #1 starting pitcher this past season before he got injured signed with the Dodgers,
Max Rajcic, who took over as the #1 pitcher signed with he Cardinals.
Ian Ritchie Jr., the Bruins #1 pitching recruit signed with the Braves, foregoing college.
These three, along with star freshman Thatcher Hurd who transferred to LSU, could have been the starters for 2023.
Savage will probably find some quality replacements, but the loss of these pitchers will hurt.
