* Sean Brosnan has been hired as UCLA's new distance coach. He runs the top high school distance program in the nation at Newbury Park HS. However, none of his star athletes are coming with him, having committed to Northern Arizona and Stanford.
* UCLA is getting a top transfer from Texas, Willington Wright, 45.23 in the 400.
* Incoming freshman, Yan Vazquez, finished 4th in the World U20 Championships with a time of 50.18 in the 400H. That time would have won the Pac-12 championship last spring.
