one thing they showed on the telecast - they focused on Simone Biles' first pass in her floor exercise. She worked her way across the matt and then leaped high in to the air to do a multi-spin, multi-flip maneuver before landing it solid on the floor.
The measurement showed her head - she is 4'10" iirc - hit 12 feet above the floor.
Could not shake the image - this short kid would be looking down at the hoop on a basketball court two feet below her! Guys two feet taller than she don't reach that. Adam Bona is a spectacular jumper but Biles was just incredible!
