The biggest surprise last weekend was "All Glory to God" Liberty's
wins over No. 1 Texas A&M.
Otherwise, the Super Regionals are a bunch of the Usual Suspects.
Liberty has to play Oregon at Oregon. My understanding is that
God is unable to make the trip.
I was pleased to see that World Series host OK State did not advance;
always have huge fan turnouts at the World Series.
But Oklahoma did advance, and appear to be as scary as ever.
OK plays Alabama at home.
Nebraska's Jordy Bahl had an epic weekend, on the mound and at
the plate. Huskers travel to Tennessee. Great match-up.
As usual: Florida (vs. Georgia at Florida) and Florida State (vs.
Texas Tech at home) are in the Super Regionals.
The Bruins have to play the other usc, on the other side of the country.
Tinsley and Terry looked good in both the Big Ten tournament and
Regional tournament. Fisher hasn't pitched.
On offense, the Bruins mercy ruled in all three Regional games. If it's
been done before ... I'd be surprised.
Terry, I think, has emerged as the best pitcher ... and she can, like
Bahl, help herself at the plate.
I wish the Bruins had made the Top Eight, so they could host.
Maybe you noticed that senior Cecil pitched (two?) innings in the team's
final Easton game. She started games in 2024, but was rocked. I
don't think she's pitched since.
