an observation - not with total confidence - perhaps asking more than telling - but seemed to me the Oregon hitters showed a very good eye for the strike zone in that opening half inning. They swung at balls in the zone (fouling most of them off) and took pitches that were called balls. It was impressive to me. They succeeded only in making Terry work - lots of pitches in that first half inning.
