UCLA broke the 198 point barrier for the first time this season in a resounding win over Washington. The #5 ranked Bruins - whose ranking ought to improve after this one - won the meet 198.150-195.775.
Washington's total really doesn't matter much (other than to Washington of course). It was UCLA's performance in this one that was electric and really significant. It lifts our ceiling all over the place.
Jordan Chiles, the weekly honoree as B1G Gymnast of the Week, registered a terrific score of 39.875 in the All Around, a score that featured another 10.0 on Floor, a 9.975 on Uneven Bars and 9.50s on Beam and Vault. As you would expect given the 198+ team total, all the Bruins elevated their game in this one.
