I think you're right - rotational player. But to gain minutes he will need to be able to deliver as a wing, a "3". There are some lineups and some matchups, in which that will certainly work but the question - similar to the questions raised about Dailey at the 3 spot - focus on defense - will Brandon be quick enough to defend that position against quick natural 3s?
A secondary concern is around his shooting: playing the 3 spot, does he have the shooting ability to stretch defenses - Dailey does.
Brandon lacks the height that Bilodeau and Dailey have at the 4 spot and those questions to play the 3.
I think he's a solid player - a hard worker and really hard nosed fighter out there - big pluses and qualities Mick Cronin values highly. As I said, I think you're right and Brandon will be solid but I expect Freeny will eventually prove to add more to the team play as a big guard type wing than Brandon does as a small PF type wing, creating more movement and scoring options in what has to be a Donovan Dent offense next season.
However, in a smaller lineup, it will be interesting to see us with Bilodeau - in the minutes he plays at center, Dailey at PF, Williams at the 3 and Freeny or Perry at the 2 spot - that could be fun to watch when matchups allow
