No matter how good the players and how hard they play, pick up defense is just never anywhere near the defense in a structured game. The most I ever look for in games like these is the athleticism, shooting ability (ability to knock down open looks, taking into consideration in these kinds of games the players are going to get a lot of open looks but they will get some open looks in real games), handles (again, sort of), and how hard the players play. Everything else, IMO, has to be taken with a grain of salt.
