about some sort of purported unharnessed athletic prowess I'm reminded of the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar scene in the movie "Airplane."
Now, in your hypothetical you may be correct in your projection or maybe not. If the players in question could have a "do-over" maybe they would hit more free throws. But none of that contradicts the notion that travel can cause fatigue and fatigue, especially in the legs, can cause shooting woes, particularly with free throws, even with 20 year olds, and fatigue probably had was a factor in that game. Those kinds of arguments never go anywhere, can't be proven, are irrelevant, and just plain phantasmagorical.
