Men's College Basketball should get rid of the conference tourneys completely and just invite every team to the Big Dance. Each region would have 91 teams with the following path to getting each region down to 16 teams:
Round 1: Bottom 74 teams play, Top 17 teams get a bye
54 teams left in the region
Round 2: Bottom 46 teams play, Top 8 teams get a bye
31 teams left in the region
Round 3: Bottom 30 teams play, Top seed gets a bye
16 teams left
That would leave 64 teams left in the entire tourney. Proceed as normal.
