is ultimately going to hold them back and maybe be their undoing. That Dent, Clark, Bilodeau, Dailey, and Brown aren't going to be able to compensate enough for a team with a hole in it at the 5.

I look at Booker and all that potential - his height, his mobility, his speed, his outside shooting ability - and then I see the position pretty much being empty in terms of its impact on the game. He just seems to disappear. I've only seen him once against UC Irvine so I could be absolutely wrong, but what I saw in that game is that he doesn't affect the game in any profound or meaningful way. He's the opposite of someone like Brown who seems to affect the game on various levels all the time.

He appears to play timid and hesitant. That kind of play gets eaten up at this level. He may get some numbers but still has no presence out on the floor. A player needs to play with humility and arrogance. Booker seems to only have one of those traits. He just looks unsure of himself out there.

A hole like that is going to be exploited by good tough teams. If Booker doesn't improve (and at this point I think he has to improve a lot) I fear, like you, that the Bruins are going to be more in the 5,6,or even 7 slot in the Big Ten and not up there in the 2,3,or 4 slot. Maybe those five I mentioned will exceed expectations and play beyond the team's liabilities or maybe Bilodeau will mostly play the 5 and do a competent job with the Bruins playing a more spread out floor and getting up and down even more than expected and everything will be alright. Or maybe it's going to be an up and down frustrating season and the Bruins are going to under perform even with those 4 highly regarded players.

IMO a lot is riding on the 5 position for the Bruins - maybe everything.
