He plays a passive game. A good strong tough team will close him down inside. A really good defensive team will render him a non factor. He does have a good outside shot and that could give some teams trouble. That's why I said maybe they will adopt an all outside offense where they spread the floor and leave the middle open. We'll see, but I'm not holding my breath on that given Cronin's history of not being too flexible, nor a risk taker, nor innovative to any great degree. It looks to me right now that Cronin is putting all his eggs in the "Booker improving" basket. That will be interesting to watch.
I've seen rapid improvement by players but it mostly doesn't happen. If change and improvement comes it usually takes years. From what I saw against UC Irvine, Booker has a lot of improving to do to get to being an effective 5 with an inside presence on both sides of the ball. In the meantime I believe we'll see just how effective Dent, Clark, Dailey, Bilodeau, and Brown can be.
