Gabriela and Gianna were gunning. From 3, GJ: 4-7; GK: 4-8. Let's hope they can keep some semblance of that going. Kneepkens has bought into Close's defensive intensity demand. She's playing hard.
Whether it's my imagination or not, I continue to feel like our movement and ball movement is better so far this year. For one, there were skip passes and even cross court passes to the open spot up player.
Dugalic had an unusually poor game defensively. She was beaten in space/on the perimeter repeatedly by players that looked like they just left her standing. It's weird. She's defended on the perimeter a lot. Has never gotten torched like that. I guess when the opposing team's tallest player is 6 feet, then having a player that is 6'4" defend on the perimeter is going to "hit different" as the kids say (I think that's what they say).
And, for the weird stat that I find interesting, the team was 62% on non-Betts 2 pointers. And, of course, Betts was 71%.
