only allowed 10 points in the paint at the half - just over 1/3 of what they gave up last game. Improved effort, Booker showing more glimpses, is going to have to continue to improve and play a LOT of minutes by late season's games. Dailey looks pretty good for having missed time and just back. But my favorite Bruin on this team is Brown - never stops moving and seems always to be around the ball.
Long way to go for this team - like the movement and ball sharing on offense but three point shooting is more of a struggle than I expected it would be with these guys' credentials from last season. When Perry first came in the Waves immediately worked to isolate on him inside and scored easily with Perry looking on from behind. Maybe he's still over-trying or maybe he's just not there yet.
Bilodau's scoring remains key - much better when he gets looks from midrange - but at this point he remains a liability on defense. Not sure he has the lateral mobility to improve his defense - not tall enough to play center against high major posts and not quick enough against forwards. Beginning to wonder if our most effective lineup might not turn out to be Booker, Dailey, Brown, Clark and Dent.
