to assess just how effective the Bruin offense was and is at this point. The Bruins are getting better but like others have said it still appears to be a work in progress with lots of work still to do.

Booker appears to be getting more comfortable in his role and I can only believe he will continue to get better. It's clear that he has a high ceiling. I'm of the frame of mind that he needs to be getting 8 to 10 rebounds a night with some nights even much higher.

From what I could see on television he doesn't yet know how to be more active. He seems to move well and appears to have good quickness and decent footwork. Because of that I can only guess that the reason he isn't more active is because he still hasn't learned how to be. There was one play where he blocked a layup, his momentum carried him toward the baseline and he didn't recover quick enough to get the ball which bounced on the floor to the original shooter who put it back in. Another time he closed off and doubled on an inside player but left enough room between him and the other defender and the guy with the ball just went through both defenders for a lay up.

Being more active and moving one's feet should have remedied both situations. He will also get more rebounds by being more active and keep moving instead of watching. I have to believe that will eventually come.

Like I said, a work in progress and a lot of work still to do by everyone individually as well as collectively. Dailey said in in his presser - by conference time they should be firing on all cylinders. We'll see, fingers crossed.
