Lots of fun speculation and reason to be optimistic on the football side, but what about basketball?
I’m a little concerned about the looming road trip. If we lost to Cal, certainly losses to the Northwest schools are possible. Both Washington and Oregon were picked to finish in the middle of the B1G and have added some substantial talent via the transfer portal. Oregon, in particular, looks dangerous. They’ve lost three in a row to quality opponents, so if they lose to USC as well, they might be really smarting and extra motivated for UCLA. We haven’t shown the level of desperation Oregon will likely be playing with.
Imagine if we go 0-2 on this trip, it could get ugly.
