It's staggering how poor Cronin's player development has been during his UCLA tenure, and it's even more staggering that no one speaks of this.
Aside from Jaquez, is there a single player he's coached who's gone on to do anything noteworthy at the pro level? Juzang had a nice start with the Jazz, but he seems to have stagnated or regressed. Like, Cronin has had six years to establish that he can get his guys ready for the next level? Has he? Not even close. Guys either transfer out of his program, transfer in (not because of him but because it's UCLA) and don't develop further, or they stick around for a few years to get their valuable UCLA degree while showing minimal development as basketball players.
Cronin's legacy at UCLA will be that he didn't leave one.
