What I've really noticed this year is that when we run our 5-out sets is that if we don't attack the paint early with the dribble, all the players stand around, and the ball sticks on the perimeter and we get BAD shots. Essentially, if we don't threaten the paint, it is EASY to defend AND it only generates bad shots. Yeah, we make them sometimes, but they aren't the offensive set breaking down a defense for a better shot, but one we could get at most any time.
