HB, to me the glorious thing about this season is that we have all the bases covered and UConn is at the highest level as well. We've gone tall and that gives us advantages and shortcomings (little pun there) - shorter, really quick and skilled teams could take advantage of us but - other than UConn - it's really all about us. Texas jumped us early and we weren't ready for that. We played them really well after halftime. I thought we were really rusty @ Ohio State but we still had that game in hand all the way.
This is just shaping up to be a truly classic season. If we can just handle our business we should pass either South Carolina or Texas (or, for my money, both of them) and that would set up the classic season and eventual confrontation between the two amazing teams this year.
It's fun to hear the analysts gush over our attention to detail. We have to keep honing that. Because it's eventually the team cohesiveness that will allow us to overcome UConn and take it all. And it's their incredible cohesion - team offense and team defense, all out but also all together as one - that is their strength as well.
We really do have a generational team this season, an all timer. But so does Geno over in Storrs. What a great season of WBB and it's only getting under way!! Something to celebrate in this new year
