With 0.7 seconds left, MSU's big was fouled while shooting (very ticky tack foul call by the way)with the score 58 to 56 in Nebraska's favor. Unfortunately, the first free throw was missed. In the second attempt to bang the ball off of the rim for a possible tip in, the big shooting the free throw rushed across the ft line too quick and was called on it giving the ball to Nebraska. Too bad. Free throw shooting can make a difference but some players just don't seem to be good at it (Mara is a good example of poor free throw shooting as I believe he is somewhere in the 40% area even though his stroke doesn't look too bad--he just hasn't learned to put the right arc on it, shoots it too flat and often without much "touch" banging off the back rim).
