Just my opinion of course, based on Cronin's behavior on and off the court. Cronin's HS and TP recruiting track record so far doesn't dissuade me from this opinion. And I have seen podcasts (eg, Matt Barnes) where more connected people have mentioned the Cronin effect on UCLA high school recruiting. And if there is a Cronin effect, then no reason it wouldn't extend to TP. The deniers point out that there is low/negative return in investing in HS recruits who are apt to leave before they contribute. Nevertheless, I believe that low $NIL access doesn't sufficiently explain the low traction (results) that UCLA has gotten in the TP. And I don't think that failing to pursue the right recruits is the explanation. That is my opinion.
