But that's what you're implying. Your whole case against him was that he wasn't drafted. College ball isn't pro ball. You said he wasn't that good. Nobody could say that watching him play in high school or JC. How many times did you see him play for Alabama? He was all-SEC as a soph. He wasn't just dunking over smaller players there. There have certainly been other high school players with similar physical attributes that didn't come close to what he was like then.
I stand by my original statement. Had he been able to enter UCLA right out of high school he could (not would) have been great, given the chance to work on his weaknesses. He regretted going to college because of the way he had to bounce around different schools due to the NCAA rulings.
I did see him play against the pros in the UCLA summer pickup games and if one didn't know who he was, they'd have thought he was one of them.
