UCLA is pursuing - Nikola Kusturica. He's 18 years old, was the youngest player to play with the FC Barcelona senior team. In one season with the big boys he average 2 ppg in 5 mpg. In 2025 he was the U16 EuroBasket MVP averaging 20 ppg, 8 rpg, and 3 apg while leading Serbia to a gold medal. Earlier this year he averaged 16, 7, and 3 while helping Barcelona win the Adidas NextGen tournament championship. In the final game he got a double double with 20 and 10.
The kid definitely has accomplishments and basketball chops.
Here he is in the NextGen tournament:
And here he is playing for Serbia:
If he comes to UCLA I don't know if he can crack the starting lineup, but I do think he could contribute and maybe even significantly. Sometimes it's hard to translate Euro play to American college basketball. The two games can differ and sometimes it takes awhile for the Euro players to learn and adjust to the more physical American game.
Some say UCLA leads for this guy, others say Gonzaga. Everyone's guessing but it does appear that UCLA is definitely in the mix. Fingers crossed! We'll see,
