UCLA had one chance to send a message that the status quo will longer be tolerated and that they are serious about having a competitive football program and that is getting rid of Martin Jarmond ASAP and doing a wholesale housecleaning in the Athletic Department. Keeping a guy who has proven to be an absolute joke with ZERO credibility in position to fun the department sends the very clear message that it is going to be business as usual at UCLA. If I'm a coach and am contacted by Jarmond about the UCLA job, that is a dealbreaker right there - I'm supposed to parade at the dog and pony show in order to convince the guy that created the circumstances that allowed Chip to screw the program and then, that Deshaun Foster was the best choice to lead the program, he should pick me. No thanks to being a part of that circus.
