Every loss is making the job that much more attractive to level of coaches that the UCLA athletic department in its infinite wisdom is likely to go after. I mean think about it, what has been or never has been and never will be coach wouldn't be interested in coming to a program where it will be damn near impossible to not show immediate improvement in year one? Just think if this had been the situation when Chip was hired. 3 wins over zero in year one, a 33.3% increase in wins from year one to two. Covid, schmovid, year 4 is a 100% increase over year 2, and year 3 didn't count.

Chip was ahead of his time. If only he could have figured out a way to take over after he helped orchestrate the tanking of the program.
