I have to admit, felt like I was living in some kind of alternative reality watching this game, as I there was no scenario in which I had envisioned them even being competitive in this game, let alone holding on for the win after leading the entire game.
And I have to give much credit to Jerry Neu, who I didn't think had this in him. Proved today that he is a legitimate football coach and not just a UCLA nepo baby homer. Congrats to him for an amazing job of installing a new offense in a few days and calling a great game.
And Nico, that kid showed exactly what all the hype is about. He showcased his poise, toughness, athleticism, and leadership from start to finish. He put the offense on his back, destroyed Penn St with his legs and threw some passes that some guys playing tomorrow would struggle to deliver.
