Playing an injured qb is the stupidest thing...

...a coach (and player) can do.

The coach owes it to his team to maximize their chances to win. Teams that win put more players into the nfl, in better rounds.

Playing a qb who is compromised hurts the entire team. The WRs don't get catches. The RBs face heavy boxes. The ol faces more pressure because the dl smells blood. Without the ability to throw, the confidence and productivity of the o is shot.

Look at how many WAO receivers manning missed. Look at how many more drives would have been extended (and thus points scored).

Some players have the attitude that they don't want to get Wally pipped. I hate players with that attitude. You're telling me that you're going to lie to me because you're selfish instead of doing what is best for the team? GFY. Go sabotage some other team with your selfish, "me first" attitude. It's hard enough to be a hc in this era without a prima Donna sabotaging the team from within.

I really respected Ethan garbers when he told chip at the start of the boise game that he wasn't 100%. And that schlee at 100% gave Ucla a better chance to win than Garbers at whatever % he was.

It turned out that Garbers was wrong... that Ethan at 60% or whatever was vastly superior when it comes to reading a d and throwing the ball than schlee at 100%.

But at least Garbers was honest with his coach. He might be the only qb in cfb or the nfl to be team-first in the last decade or two.
