Many dreams have died ugly deaths when clashing against reality on the gridiron, and the idea that this team despite the woefully bad start to season was somehow for real appears to have been the pipe dream of all pipe dreams. They are a plucky bunch, but they just aren't very good. And the idea that Jerry was some savant who just needed a shot has also been shot to hell the past couple of weeks. He was in way over his head and had no answers whatsoever. He is a Neuheisel, which I guess means that he will likely be able to parlay an extraordinarily paltry number of wins into legendary status at UCLA. The question remains, can Jerry match Six Win Rick and march into the pantheon of Neuheisel immortality? He's currently at 4 if you count his win over UT as a player.
