from what has been reported to date. This is assuming that it is actually happening.
The gist of it is about trying to increase income/revenue by being able to charge more for sitting in the lower sections, especially sidelines, and they are assuming they will sell the luxury boxes like they do at NFL games.
My opinion, it has nothing to drive time, old vs. new stadium, or whatever else people want to paint the picture as. End of the day, people will have to decide if they think it's a good move or not. Based on past financial issues, this feels like desperation more than anything else and little to no transparency on what is going on with the athletic department.
