UCLA has to get a guy right before he's coveted by the big programs, because after is too late.
No guarantees with this guy. He lacks any real connection with the Big 10 or West Coast. No idea how he will approach recruiting.
Yet, that's the exciting part as well; a clean slate and no UCLA connections. Hopefully a hard charger and not a Mr. Nice Guy.
He's young, he's probably hungry, and he's won at several different stops, working his way up. He's been a head coach for 15 years. The anti-Foster in just about every way.
I just hope Rick N. spilling the beans on TV didn't jeopardize the hire. Not sure why he felt compelled to reveal that information so publicly.
