We were going to go. Had a group organized to go, like in the prior Spring. Then a friend of the fam set her wedding for that day. I was mighty bummed.
Got home from the wedding, ready to watch the recording. Our neighbor, who is hard of hearing, had his tv cranked wayyyy up. I could hear a sports announcer going crazy, and what sounded like a stadium going crazy. At that hour, I figured our game was the only game on, so the ending of the game must be wild, and in our favor.
Watched the whole game pretty damn certain we were going to come back.
The day before, I ran into a bunch of A&M students that were out here for the game. I talked to them briefly, and said good luck tomorrow. They were pretty douchey, so if there was any way that comeback victory could have been any sweeter, that was the cherry on top.
