is also the factor of who's playing tennis. I'm a big tennis fan and do get disappointed with American professional tennis players in general. Typically they are very good, not great. Nice enough people overall, but there is just a dramatic difference in European players work ethic and surfaces they play on compared to what the Americans do. The Americans overall do need to change what they are doing if they want to get to the top.
I thought it was interesting point about the high percentage of International players in college tennis compared to the American percentage. I guess the question is, should they put on cap on the amount of international players on teams? Getting into the American family, they do pay taxes that support state universities, so should they have priority access to the universities. It seems that in general academically, I don't think that is the case for many schools. Let alone getting into tennis programs.
