I agree that bipartisan often means nothing (or trouble). I noted Democrat support because you cited only Republican reasons for skepticism which, as I've pointed out before in this forum and below, is ill-judged.

AMERICAN INTERNMENT
Democrat tyrant FDR* issued Executive Order 9066. (Members of his cabinet and Eleanor opposed it.) He was a virulent racist (as was LBJ); he opposed "the mingling of Asiatic blood with European or American blood."

Though 9066 did not explicitly target only people of Japanese ancestry, that's what FDR intended. His attorney general Francis Biddle reminded him, "You signed the original Executive Order permitting the exclusions so the Army could handle the Japs. It was never intended to apply to Italians and Germans."

*FDR delivered addresses for the ages after Pearl Harbor, for D-Day, etc.; it's too bad that he (apparently) set us up for the attack at Pearl Harbor.

VIETNAM
We went to Vietnam to stop Communism, just as we did (successfully) in Korea. We left because treacherous media propagandized the American people into surrendering. (Sound familiar? It should, since the Marxist/Communist/Socialist media have been undermining the Republic ever since.)

IRAQ
Bush 43's decision to go to Iraq was sensible at the time: Saddam had used WMDs; we'd been at war with him since the '90s; he had terrorist contacts (but *no* part in 9/11); the New York Times lamented ISIS's taking control of Saddam's WMD (how can you secure that which does not exist?); and Saddam's general Georges Sada said that his boss had sent his WMD to Syria before our invasion (while Bush was begging "allies" for support). (You might recall mysterious explosions in Syria not long after that. At least *someone* was brave enough to do what was needed without asking for permission first.)

Besides allowing members of the House of Saud to escape and the civilizational treason of calling Islam a "religion of peace hijacked by a tiny minority of extremists," George W. Bush squandered American blood and treasure trying to "win hearts and minds" dedicated to the genocidal pedophile and anti-Semite Muhammad and his "kill the pagans wherever you find them" (Qur'an 9:5, the "Verse of the Sword").
